How to make your lipstick last all day

Start with smooth lips. A gentle exfoliation and a thin layer of balm, blotted off, gives colour something even to hold onto.

Line the entire lip, not just the edges. The liner acts as a base coat that grips pigment and stops feathering.

Apply your lipstick, blot with a tissue, then press a little translucent powder through the tissue. One more layer of colour on top and it's set for the day.
